Loose Dentures

Although wearing dentures can replace your missing teeth, when they become loose they can be a real hindrance and affect your confidence.

If you have loose or ill-fitting dentures, you may find it embarrassing and challenging to eat certain foods, especially in social situations. You might think that you have to accept your loose dentures as a part of life – but they don’t have to be! At Kaizen Dental Implants Centre, we offer an advanced treatment called denture stabilisation, a technique that involves your dentures being anchored down in your mouth with dental implants. These small metal implants are placed at specific areas in your jaw and begin to integrate with the bone which makes them firmly settled. Then your dentures are fixed on top of the implants with the help of special fixtures. This means your dentures can still be removed for cleaning, but will stay put once in place.

Our principal dentist, Dr Rik Trivedi, has completed extensive training in implant dentistry and has worked with many patients over the years to fix their smiles using this advanced treatment.

We are proud to offer this advanced treatment to our patients and improve their quality of life.

This lady presented with a poorly fitting lower denture which gave pain and discomfort during eating for many years. It was also very loose and the patient used bucket loads of Fixative to try to keep them in. She attended the practice as a new patient and was amazed and excited at the possibility of having fixed teeth after many years suffering with her denture.

We agreed to replace her loose denture with several implants supporting a ‘fixed’ bridge. The treatment was over a few months and the patient is over the moon with the result.

I feel like I have my own teeth back again. I can eat steak again! Thank you
